So I guess my 6 months of being the first Recipient of the NZAAT Artist Grant is officially come to an end. Its been the most amazing experience and truly helped me in the way that it was set up to do so. I created some of the best work of my career and from that have had the most successful 6 months of my career. I would like to thank the Trustees, The Sponsors, and a special thanks to Carla Russell, Midge Murray and Lynne Sandri for being so supportive and helpful throughout my time in Wellington. Thank you to everyone i had the pleasure of meeting and to whoever helped me along the way, as there was a few of you… you know who you are! The grant is the reason i am able to be in New York at this moment, and i am so thank full for the opportunities it has given me. Even though the 6 months is over, this is where it all begins… i will now show you all what i am capable of…

spent my first day around chelsea today, visited probably about 30 galleries and that was only a third of them. in the heat of summer i could only manage that many! i saw some amazing work and some great spaces that i will revisit when I’m ready to take them on with my portfolio in the next few months. Excited to go to the art shop tomorrow in soho to begin a new series of drawings. INSPIRED!
